We follow your surgeon’s rehabilitation plan step by step, guiding you through each stage — from early mobilisation to a full return to function. Every session is tailored to your goals, recovery timeline, and lifestyle, so you're not just healing — you're building back better.

Currumbin locals can access a full suite of services including manual therapy, dry needling, cupping, sports taping, custom exercise programs, and 1:1 physio-led Pilates. Whether you’re fresh out of surgery, partway through your rehab, or pushing for athletic performance, we’re here to support you at every stage.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS – PHYSIOTHERAPY AT THE GOOD JOINT

Do I need a referral from my GP?
No referral is required to see our physiotherapists — you’re welcome to book privately whenever you’re ready.
However, if you’re attending under a care plan, WorkCover, DVA, or another third-party arrangement, please bring your referral or paperwork along to your appointment so we can ensure your sessions are correctly managed and billed.

How long is each physiotherapy appointment?
Initial consultations are 45 minutes, which allows for a thorough assessment, treatment, and the development of a personalised plan.
Follow-up appointments typically run for 30 minutes, depending on your needs and progress.

Can I use private health insurance?
Yes. Physiotherapy is included under extras cover with most private health insurers.
We offer HICAPS on-site for instant claiming — just bring your health fund card and you’ll only pay the gap on the day.

Do you accept WorkCover referrals?
Yes. If you have an active WorkCover claim and a valid medical certificate, your sessions may be fully funded.
Our admin team will handle communication with your case manager and take care of all the paperwork to keep things simple and stress-free for you.

Can I use DVA (Department of Veterans' Affairs) referrals?
Absolutely. If you’re a DVA cardholder with a current referral from your GP, you may be eligible for fully funded physiotherapy sessions.
We’re proud to support veterans and will liaise directly with DVA to coordinate your care and ensure smooth approvals.

Do you offer physiotherapist-guided Pilates sessions?
Yes — we offer 1:1 Physio-Guided Pilates sessions tailored specifically to your body, injury history, and goals. These sessions are led by our qualified physiotherapists and are ideal for rehab, core strength, posture correction, and injury prevention. Whether you’re an athlete or pre/postnatal, Pilates under physiotherapy guidance ensures every movement is safe, intentional, and effective.

Is physiotherapy safe during pregnancy?
Yes — physiotherapy during pregnancy is not only safe, it’s incredibly effective for managing back and pelvic pain, supporting posture, and preparing the body for birth. Our team uses gentle, targeted techniques and can also provide guidance on movement, breathwork, and recovery postpartum.

Do you offer online or telehealth sessions?
Yes, we do. If you're unable to attend in person, we offer secure video consultations where we can assess your movement, provide guidance, and prescribe tailored exercise programs.
Telehealth appointments attract the same fees and are eligible for private health rebates (if your fund allows).
